Who Joins a Lions Club?
Ordinary men and women who enjoy
good fellowship and want to make a positive contribution to their
community. This could be as simple as placing a park bench or as challenging as
raising the funds to assure that the local hospital has the necessary state of
the art equipment it needs to serve the needs of our area. In so doing we
fulfill our larger objective of making the world a better place to live all
peoples.
Cost of Being Lion - Annual membership in the Huttonville Lions Club is
$200.00. Any other expenses are strictly voluntary. There is no obligation to
bear any further costs. Membership in a Lions Club is by invitation only. One
of the club members must agree to recommend you become a member to the Board.
Once membership is approved, your sponsor will help you get to know the other
members and help you assimilate into the club. Your family members are
encouraged to become involved in fund raising activities, community projects
and whatever Lions project they may find appealing. The level of their
involvement is entirely up to them.
